Booklings Club Subscription & Gift Policy

Last updated: 19 August 2026

Welcome to Booklings Club. Our monthly subscription is designed to make discovering beautiful children's books in other languages simple, flexible and exciting for families.

This policy explains how Booklings Club subscriptions work, including billing, renewals, pausing, cancellations, pricing and gifting.

Booklings Club Subscriptions

How your subscription works

When you join Booklings Club, you choose your child's language and age group and subscribe to receive a Booklings box on a recurring monthly basis.

Each Booklings Club box includes two children's books selected for your child's age group and Reading Profile.

We generally aim to dispatch your first box within 1–2 business days. Once your order is on its way, you'll receive Australia Post tracking by email.

Ongoing subscription boxes are prepared and dispatched according to your subscription fulfilment cycle.

Free standard shipping Australia-wide is included with Booklings Club subscriptions. For full delivery information, please see our Shipping Policy.

Billing & renewals

Your first subscription payment is processed when you join Booklings Club.

After that, your subscription renews automatically according to your subscription billing cycle using the payment method associated with your subscription.

You can view and manage your subscription details, including upcoming billing information, through your Booklings customer account.

Subscription price changes

Subscription prices and available plans may change from time to time.

If we change the price of your existing recurring subscription, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before the new price applies. If you don't wish to continue at the new price, you can cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.

A price change will not affect an order that has already been processed and paid for.

Managing your subscription

We understand that family life changes, so Booklings Club subscriptions are designed to be flexible.

You can manage your subscription through your Booklings customer account, including options available to:

  • skip an upcoming box;

  • pause your subscription;

  • cancel your subscription;

  • update your payment details; and

  • update your delivery information.

Changes should be made before your next subscription order has been processed.

If you need help managing your subscription, email us at hello@booklings.com.au.

Pausing or skipping your subscription

You can temporarily pause your Booklings Club subscription or skip an upcoming box through your customer account.

While your subscription is paused, you won't receive your regular subscription boxes or be charged for paused orders.

A temporary pause of up to three consecutive months will generally allow you to retain your existing subscription price when you reactivate.

If your subscription remains continuously paused for more than three months, any previous or legacy subscription pricing may no longer apply. When you choose to reactivate after that period, your subscription will resume at the then-current price for the applicable subscription plan.

We'll make the applicable subscription price available to you before your reactivated subscription is charged.

The three-month period applies to a continuous pause, not to separate pauses taken at different times while you are otherwise actively subscribed.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel your subscription through your Booklings customer account before your next subscription order has been processed.

Cancelling stops future subscription renewals. It does not cancel an order that has already been processed.

If an order has already been processed and payment has been captured, that order will generally be fulfilled and sent to you.

If you cancel and later decide to join Booklings Club again, your new subscription will be at the price and on the terms available at the time you resubscribe. Previous or legacy subscription pricing does not carry over to a new subscription.

We don't offer refunds for change of mind after an order has been processed. This does not affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law. Please see our Refund & Returns Policy for more information.

Failed payments

If we're unable to process a subscription payment, you may receive a notification asking you to update your payment details.

Your subscription or upcoming order may be delayed or interrupted until a valid payment method is available.

You can update your payment information through your Booklings customer account or contact us at hello@booklings.com.au if you need help.

Subscription communications

We'll send you transactional communications where necessary to manage your subscription and orders, such as order confirmations, billing information, account updates and shipping notifications.

From time to time, we may also send you marketing communications about Booklings, new books, languages, offers or other news where you have agreed to receive them.

You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe option provided. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending communications necessary to manage your subscription, account or orders.

Gifts

Booklings books and one-off boxes can make lovely gifts for little readers.

Our available gift options may change from time to time. Any gift products currently available will be shown on our website together with the applicable price, delivery options and product details.

Personalised gifts

Where a personalised gift-note option is available for a particular product, you'll be able to provide the relevant details when ordering.

Gifts sent directly to the recipient

If you're sending an order directly to someone as a gift, please make sure the recipient's delivery address is entered correctly at checkout.

For gifts being sent to different addresses, please place separate orders for each delivery address.

Returns and problems with gift orders

Our standard Refund & Returns Policy applies to gift purchases.

If an item arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect or duplicated, please contact us and we'll help resolve the issue in accordance with our Refund & Returns Policy and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
